Titanic block of ice behind back wall of freezer.

There was an enormous block of ice which had formed behind the back partition on the left hand side of the freezer. Took the partition off last night and it has thawed. (But the hole where water drains out at bottom of freezer is still frozen.) Why did this happen? How can I stop this happening again as everything gets so clogged up with the block of ice I couldn't get the baskets out. It is an integrated fridge freezer, and have noticed that the ventilation grills at the front are covered over with the front of the kitchen unit. Would this be the reason?

Lsc27914st/00 ice maker will not fill the tray, prior to that is the water leaked down the walls of the freezer

Hello KYMBERLY;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

There is a white plastic fill tube that runs from the back of your refrigerator into your freezer. This fill tube in the freezer section is open at the top. This tube goes into the ice maker fill cup on the right hand side of your ice maker. Opening and closing the freezer door - warm air gets in, forms condensate, and freezes. So, your fill tube and/or your fill tube is blocked with ice.

Remove the extra storage shelf in front of the ice maker. Using a hair dryer defrost the ice in the fill cup and fill tube. This is located on the right hand side of you icemaker.

JSI-26 icemaker leaking water

You're ice maker is located on the left hand side of the freezer, if I'm correct.
Look to the back of the freezer slightly above the ice maker and you will see what they call the fill tube. Chances are ice has formed inside and when the ice maker goes to fill water sprays instead of flows out. In some models you can take the fill tube out from the back by removing two screws that hold it in, located at the upper right side if your behind it, and some you may have to pull out from inside.

Ice forming on the bottom of the freezer

Hello,

The ice is from the melted frost of the defrost cycle. The drain at the bottom of the back wall of the freezer is blocked so instead of the water drining into the pan where it will evaperate,it's pooling on the freezer floor and freezing.By pulling the ref. from the wall there will be a tube behind teh service panel on the right side when looking at it from the rear,that tube can be removed and cleared,then clear the nozzle it connects to inside the freezer.

I hope this helps,

Gene

I have a puddle forming on the freezer side of the maytag msd2756gew side by side refrigerator. It seems i have a leak. what could be leaking and how do i fix it?

Your Ice Maker could be leaking or the defrost drain behind the back freezer wall could be blocked with ice or another source of blockage leading down to the pan below your refrigerator where the water is heated by the evaporator fan and replaced back into the air inside your home. You will need to unplug the power before going into the back of your freezer. Let me know if you would like help. Sea Breeze

Ice forming in freezer refrigerator not getting cold

Replace your heater and thermostat behind the back wall of the freezer. the air will not flow from the freezer to the fridge because of all the forming ice. Also replace the defrost timer. take your model number into a local parts store and they can get you the parts. This is very common!!!!! But pretty easy to do.
