Yes. That motherboard is a standard size called ATX. Any other ATX or micro-ATX motherboard will fit into your current case.

Motherboard

This is resurrected from September 2013.

Motherboards from proprietary makes like Dell, Gateway, or what ever are specially made and will only fit their own cases. This is done on purpose so that you have to buy motherboards from them. If you look at the back of the case there are always funny cut outs, or the boards are an odd length.

Buy the case and buy off the shelf motherboards like Asus.

What motherboard is in asus k50i-rbbgr05 and whats the best cpu upgrade for it if any currently Pentium duo core t4400

Hello here is the asus home page:

http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/K50IJ/#support_Download

Try to contact the asus support before upgrading the cpu.
Your laptop will probably not support a bigger cpu, because there is a limit here.
The cpu from another model will probably fit the socket, but the pc will not boot at all.
This depends on how the mainboard is build, cache size and so on.
Its also very expensive to buy a cpu for a laptop.
This can easy cost the same as a new laptop.
The mainboard is build by asus or intel.

It would be easyer to by a laptop with a bigger cpu.
They do exist as quad core.

Good luck

Is there a current motherboard that will fit in a Sony Vaio pcv-RZ22g case to replace an old Asus P4S533 motherboard?

Desktop computer cases have mountings that suit the majority of motherboards.
You most like need a new switch mode power supply as the existion one won't have the correct power connectors and won't supply enough power.

I am using an older PC with a ASUS CUSL2 AGP Pro/4X Motherboard as a intra-offfice server devise. I'd like to add USB 2.o or change out the 2 rear USB prots to 2.0. I've tried doing this witha USB 2.0 PCI...

You have two options

One is to replace the whole motherboard but that would probably also entail new ram, cpu, cooler, graphics card, even maybe a new PSU.

Two is to fit a pci usb 2.0 card.

You said you did TWO but it didnt work. I am not sure why without more details but if you are using windoes 95 or less than that would be a major problem.

Only the later windows 98 and above can really make full use of USB 2.0 and even with 98 and win ME you would need to make sure he correct drivers were installed too.

If I were you, I would replace the motherboard with the same model as Hp use´s...
When you try to find another compatible board you will have some problems due to exclusive computer case..sometimes you need to adapt things...too bad...it´s better to repair with original board....

Hi eibral2345, sorry but there is no chance the motherboard, Asus P5VD2-VM-SE will run the Samsung memory. It’s the old style 3.3V PC133/100 SDRAM. The new Asus motherboard,
P5VD2-VM-SE uses Single-Channel DDR2 - 667MNz or 533MHz memory. Here is a link to the specs of the Asus CUV4X: http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleid=314&page=3
Here are the specs for the Asus P5VD2-VM-SE MB: http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?modelmenu=2&model=1787&l1=3&l2=11&l3=369&l4=0

Will the new Asus board fit in your case? It should!
The larger measurement is the height of the board.
The Height + Width of the new board is smaller than the older board.

Have more questions?
Good luck eibral2345!

Would like to replace MthBrd (M.B.) in E510 (Dell)

I believe you would be better off if you buy a new case as well as motherboard Dell cases can be restrictive on amount of drives etc you can fit in them
If you do you will need to find a board that will suit your type of ram and video card
RAM is it 168 pin 186 pin 200 pin DDR DDR2 DDR3 etc
video card is it AGP or PCI-E 4X 8X 16X

Wont fit the backport of the case

Today, the cases come with a 'generic' back port that pops out for specific motherboards. The Asus board should have come with a metal plate that replaces the case's version, and lines up the ports.

Read the notes on flashing BIOS's before trying to flash your bios (if you stuff up I don't think there is anyway back).

Good luck.
