SOURCE: Defect ASUS V8420 ?

Yes you are correct. It is an old CRT type monitor. (LG studioworks 995E). Worked perfect (for my purpose).
When I reboot I do not see anything. Monitor stays black.
No power on self test screen, nothing. I really think the card is dead.
By the way, of course I'am using another computer to sent these comments.
Thanks for your help so far anyway.
best regards

Yes, the video processor (which is used only after the driver is installed) has some shorted channels in it and when they are accessed the data is corrupted and it crashes the system.
Time for a new one.

Hello there, I am the Expert that will be helping you today, my name in damnor01.

Welcome to Fixya.

Your graphics card is overheating and is therefore switching itself off to prevent damage.
Install as many fans as your computer chassis will allow. You need to get some air to flow over the heatsink of this card.

Test this theory by removing the graphics card and then using the onboard Video on your computer mainboard (VGA)
If all is well then it confirms the theory.
However if there is still a problem then we can safely say that it the graphics card is not the cause of the problem.

Hello there, I am the Expert that will be helping you today, my name in damnor01.

Welcome to Fixya.

You need to download the drivers for your Nvidia based Graphics Card.

Ensure that the card is installed in the PC-Express 16X slot closest to the Processor.
Install as many fans as your computer chassis allows, use 120mm fans if you can. I recommend a power supply of at least 550Watts for this Graphics card. Cooler Maser Extreme Power Plus will work well.

The problems you are experiencing are most likely driver related.
Install Direct X versions 9.0c and 10 and 11
You must install them all.

Hello
That is a video device problem.First you need to check you monitor cable,it runs from the monitor into the back of the pc into your video device.
Hopefully you have a video card, but check that the cable is secure and tight. You may want to remove it and put it back on just to be sure.

If this doesnt help try restarting the pc and hold the f8 key down and select safe mode.If you get a picture on your monitor you may need to reinstalll the video drivers. If not then you have a bad video card or a bad video chip depending on what is in your pc.

try these steps - in this order:
  1. Download the latest drivers for your video card but do not install it yet.
  2. Uninstall any video card software installed (ati catalyst/control center - nvidia etc)
  3. go to device manager, expand video adapters, and right click to uninstall them both.
  4. Reboot your pc. Windows will install a generic driver when it boots up. From there, install the new video drivers you downloaded in step 1.
  5. Get the monitor driver here: http://www.zdnetasia.com/downloads/pc/swinfo/0,39043052,50002410r-39518824s,00.htm and install it
  6. That should fix it. Let me know what happens.

No signal on moniter

are you using an add-on video card? If so, then go to BIOS and enable it.

Male moniter plug on both moniters(every one in the world) and motherboard

That Male connector is a serial port not video, you need to get a video card and plug the monitor to this card.
