Vulcan Ducted Heating (Automatic)Model 80 ECO . New fan and motor installed (Replacement 'slide out-slide in). Use remote, nothing happens. Motor isolated, works OK. No LEDs light up on Circuit board. It's winter, I'm cold. Previous "expert" gave info for air-conditioning. Vulcan now comes under Rheem, who no longer service this model.Justin Rich therich12@hotmail.com

Failed control board seems to be the most likely cause. The one that has the thermostat and stuff.

Vulcan ECO 80 ducted heating. Wrong advice ... do I get a refund!? Anyway, thank you for your speedy reply. Justin Rich.

6 When the latest abnormality code on the main unit and
code transmitted from the remote control are matched,
Power LED will light up for 30 seconds and a "beep" sound
(continuously for 4 seconds) will be heard. If no codes are
matched, Power LED will light up for 0.5 seconds and no

The memory data of error code is erased when the power supply is cut off, or press the Auto Switch until "beep" sound heard following by pressing the "CHECK" button at remote controller.
Although operation forced to stop when abnormality detected, emergency operation is possible for certain errors (refer to Error Codes Table) by using remote controller or Auto Switch at indoor unit. However, the remote controller signal receiving sound is changed from one "beep" to four "beep" sounds.

E3 code appears and unit wont operate Domain Air CSR5300

E-3 Indoor unit blower motor mechanism. Rotate blower motor manually. If rotate, check power to motor. If power is there, replace only fan-capacitor.
If hard to rotate, replace bearings or motor itself. If no power to motor, defective in PCB. Repair/replace PCB. Thanks and hope it's helpful.

I have a Fujitsu inverter split system,(ASTA18LCC) which the power was removed for a while. Now when you start it up on any mode the red operation light is on briefely, then the green timer light flashers...

To work out what the error code ispress the orange start/stop button on the remote controller so unit operationis stopped.
Then press and hold "energy save" and "zone control" buttonsimultaneously for at least five seconds, the error code will be along thelines of En:nn where the "En:" is the error code and the":nn" indicates the indoor unit address if there are multiple indoorunits connected to the one controller. If the upper vertical bar on the capitalE is missing so it looks maybe like a 2 or something don't worry for somereasons they just do that
Some common error codes are:
E0 Communication error between indoor unit and wired remote control, check ifthere is 12VDC between terminal 1 + 3 at remote control and 8-9VDC pulsatingbetween terminal 2 + 3. If DC volts out of Indoor pcb is below about 11.6VDC itwill cause this error, the problem is normally dry capacitors in the 12 VDCpower supply section. This model has two power supply sections on indoor pcb.
E1 Communication error between indoor unit and outdoor unit,
EF Discharge temperature abnormal
Is it helpful?

Outside unit fan not turning no cold air inside.

Ok here we go. It is possible that the capacitor for that fan unit is out or the motor for that unit is out. Without the proper tools i.e. an electrical meter, there isn't really a way to test the unit. The remote should not have anything to do with the unit activating if the is a manual thermostat. I suggest checking to see if either the motor has gone bad or the capacitor has bit the dust. If you have the motor changed make sure to replace the capacitor

Good Luck on your repairs hope I helped you some\

Remote control functions Ok (ie display appears and settings can be changed), but the air conditioner unit does not respond. Can operate using ther manual switch on the inside unit, but does not get past...

Use your cellphone or any digital camera as your eyes by pointing the camera to the remote control transmitter. Light should emits on the remote control receiver. If no lights means defective remote control. But if lights emits means that either the receiver board or the main board is defective.

Try also the rst or reset button if present. Reset and try the remote.

Chamberlain Whisper drive remote control unit not working

THE NEW REMOTE MAY NOT BE THE CORRECT SYSTEM FOR THE UNIT YOU HAVE.
THE ONE THAT DOESN'T WORK MOST LIKELY NEEDS A NEW BATTERY.
NOTE IT MUST BE REPROGRAMED AFTER CHANGING THE BATTERY

The Hampton Bay Altura Ceiling fan functions only with remote.

I contacted the manufacturer (kingofffans.com) after my Altura fan would run on high speed only and the remote would not control any thing. They said their was a manufacturing defect with a capacitor that affected many of the Altura fans. We are now on a waiting list for a new capacitor and housing, because they did not have enough replacement parts.
