Question about Yahoo Mail
I have my e-mail and password connected to open my e-mail.
I want to eliminate this servus and change my password. I am asked for password info and when I give it (mothers maiden name) I am informed that it is wrong!!
cannot escape from this situation.
Hello, there are two things you need to do.
First off, the saved password and email address is stored in your internet browser itself. Depending on the browser there are different ways to fix this...but basically you need to go into the browser tools/options/preferences and choose the security tab. Under this box there is a saved passwords or forms field, if you open it up the window will show all of the passwords account names that are saved in the browser, categorized by the website to which they apply. Simply delete the one for yahoo mail in this case and your computer will no longer remember the password. The next time you log in, tell your computer to never ask to remember passwords for this site and it won't be a problem in the future.
Second, you need to change your password. Log in to Yahoo Mail and change the password there under your profile/preferences.
Now you are all set!
