Question about Home
I'm assuming this is not for a bath tub actually. You're referring to your well pump. The problems are different if it is a submersible deep well or an above ground shallow well pump. In either case if you have a suction leak, the pump will short cycle. Or if you have a plumbing leak the pressure will slowly drop off until the pump cycles, and re-pressurizes the system. Or if you mean when you begin to use water the pump comes on quickly, check your expansion (bladder) tank. If it has a leak in the bladder it won't do it's job. Turn water off. Check air pressure on air fill valve on tank. Your tank should indicate what pressure (usually about 20psi, tank empty of water.
