There should be a button on the back of your router that may or may not be labeled. You will need a small object (i.e., paperclip or pin) to press it. Hold it down with the power on, and your lights will most likely change indicating a success.

Belkin Startup Disk missing

The startup disc is not really required on most home wireless routers. Simply connect the ISP modem to the main port on the router and connect the pc to any other port. You should have internet via wire at this point.

You will have to reset the router by holding in the reset in the back till it cycles. This will clear all custom settings. Then simply use the defaults to log into the web admin if need be, or to setup a wireless key for protection.

Yes you can. I will demo it done with a Cisco router. It shouldn't be much different.

I messed up my login passwords how can I reset?

I think you should try to reset the router to factory default settings and reconfigure it manually.
Press and hold the reset button on the router for 30 seconds. Release the reset button and wait for 30 seconds. Power cycle the router and reconfigure it manually.

If i reset router without disk will my other ipods still work and newone without vizios password

If you hold down the reset button on the router, this will wipe out any settings on that router. Once you have setup the router you will merely need to enter the new password for each wireless device you connect.
You don't really need the disc to setup any router. Check out Chapter 3 "Setting Up Your Router"

I need reset the default password for a symbol WS5100

Forgot your Windows password? A Windows Password Reset Disk could do all the job for you, it can reset your lost or unknown Windows password safely and quickly without login, you can create a Windows password reset disk with the tool Windows Password Breaker, then use it to reset your password.

New computer; can't find original installation disk

You should not need an installation disc.

Connect your PC to the router with a network cable and type into the browser adddress bar. This will connect you to the router setup and maintenance screen, from where you can configure the router. If necessary you can reset it to factory settings and enter a new password.

You can then disconnect your cable and use it wirelessly.

Installed dlink router but wireless connection keeps going offand keeps saying acquiring network address.

Hi there, this issue happens if your computer cannot acquired IP address from the router. please test your router first if other computers can connect to it. If Yes, then theres something wrong with your computer wireless adapter. in order to resolved this issue is try to reisntall the drivers of your wireless adapter. it is usually located at the driver disk that came with the system. If other computer cant connect also to the router then there is something wrong with your router. sometimes alll you need to do there is restore the router from original factory settings by pressing the reset key. if same issue happened after reset then you have to call your routers manufacturer for possible replacement. thanks!

Changed router settings and now unable to access the network and internet

Just reset the router (there should be a reset button somewhere on it) it will default to open system. Then go back in and select WEP with 64 or 128 bit security. Generate your KEY and next time it connects enter the KEY. You should be set to go!

Wireless G Broadband Router

Some thing like that happen to me my old laptop had a wireless (g) card in it and my router was a (g) the new laptop did not require a card. the new system is (n) so I had to buy an (n) router and a wireless (n) card. Although I think the (n) router will work with a (g) card. also if you have a disk you might have put a pass word on it during the original install. but you can always try to reset the modem and router simply by removing the power sourceor useing the reset buttons..Good luck
