How to complete engine replacement on a Dixon are mower, model number DM 3068671 13 up

Hi Denny:
Seriously, this can be a fun project if you have patience, time, a camera, and a secure place to work.
It will be a learning process.
1) Remove battery
2) Methodically dismantle... stay organized.... take pictures.
3) Reverse process with new motor.
4) Install battery.
5) Test run.
6) Have a beer.
I'm really not kidding. Trying to do a step by step, bolt by bolt procedure would not be relevant.
Like a kid with a wind up alarm clock, you take it apart, and put it back together.
Enlisting the aid of an experienced mechanic friend never hurts.
It's really just a sort of jig-saw puzzle that you have to take apart and then put back together.
Have fun.

Hi Debra,

Issues with performance are usually very easy to resolve, and shouldn't require the machine to be dismantled. Unfortunately if the machine has now been disassembled to this extent, the 5-year guarantee will now have been voided.

I would encourage you to contact us directly so we can determine if your machine is missing any parts, and discuss your options for getting your vacuum up and running again. You can reach the Dyson customer Helpline by calling 0800 298 0298 (UK), or 1-866-693-9766 (US)

Best wishes,

THE NEUTRAL/DRIVE LEVER HAS COME AWAY FROM THE HOOVER AND SOME OF THE INSIDES HAVE ALSO COME AWAY. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW TO PUT IT ALL BACK TOGETHER

I dismantled the cover, withdrew the gear drive assembly and found the bits that had come loose. The mechanism that selects neutral or drive had come away from its shaft. I simply put it all back together and tightened everything back up. Works a dream again.

I took a computer apart after it was beeeping and so i could check the mother board to make sure it was not burnt up and when i put it back togher now the montor and keyboard and mouse will not light up or...

So the beeping stopped?

Generally the beeping is coded with long and short beeps to tell you what is wrong. Often it signals a problem with the RAM but you need to look at the mother board manual to find out what it means.

It sounds like it does nothing at all now.

There are many easy mistakes you can make when putting a computer back together. It depends on how far you pulled it apart. Unless you are very observant when dismantling it you may have put a plug back on the wrong way around or something or missed a power cable somewhere.
You may have to take it to someone who knows where things go. It does not need to be a shop maybe you have a friend who knows about this stuff. Most of the common components in PC's all have the same rules about how they go together..

On the other hand it may have a broken component the beeps were telling you that after all.
