Question about Husqvarna Lawn Tractor - 54in. Deck, 26 HP, Model# LGT2654

ZT just quick, Husqvarna 48" deck with a 21hp kawasawki

Nothing with the key, New battery, Does crank at jumping at the soil-ode. Checked all safety switches- park, seat, blade engaged, control arms in out most position, and switched around 2 of the 3 relays... Checked all plugs including the dash plate... Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thank you, Gene

It is the solenoid on the starter. Mine has been like that for over 10 years, I finally fixed it, had to get a hammer on it every time I started it. try tapping a bolt with a hammer, lightly, if it jumps up and starts, you know what it is. Check it out, might just be dirty. Hope this helps.

Why can' I t get mower to do anything when trying to crank it over?

try jumping your battery with your car/battery. If that works, charge your battery and/or adjust your valves. If it doesnt, try jumping directly to the starter from the battery. If that works, get a new starter solenoid. If it doesnt, get a new starter.

My husqvarna tractor won't start. It has a new battery but no clicking or anything when I turn the key. If I hook up a portable battery charger and try to start it, I hear a grinding noise but the engine...

have you checked the fuse? there is a 20amp yellow fuse under the hood just below the solenoid same side as the blade engagement switch.also be sure all your lock out switches are working or by passed.

Mower will not charge battery when blades are engaged.

safety switch wire maybe grounding out or insulation broken and touching body. how do u know they aren't charging. use a volt meter connected to the battery. crank engine, should be getting 13 volts plus on meter.

sounds as if you have one of the safety switches keeping the starter from cycling. If it cranks over when you jumper across the starter solenoid then it is a safety switch. they are usually under the seat, on the clutch pedal, on the blade engagement lever and on the gear shift which has to be in neutral
