How many faxes did you send in the last 20 days. Most Fax Machines only keep 30 - 35 in the journal report if less than that what model do you have and I should be able to help

No, the transmission log is held for the last 50 faxes on most machines and I would imagine you have sent more than 50 faxes over the four year period. I imagine this is for some legal matter, so what you can try to do is pull your phone records from four years ago and find that number on your bill. This is equal verification that a fax was sent on the date and time you say one was sent. That is about your only option. If you do not have copies of your previous bills, contact your phone company and ask the to do a search on the number you are inquiring about and they should be able to pull your records from four years ago and provide that information to you, albeit for a fee. Sorry but no, the unit does only keep the last 100 journal pages in its transaction log. This usually covers a time span of 2-5 days only on a machine used in a business environment.
Not an expert on this model however, on most canon fax machines the plastic cover or panel on the keypad is a door. Opening this you should see descriptions for the keys one should say report. Press report to print and follow instuctions to get activity report.

ok if you got a conformation sheet it should say someware on it OK or NG if you got an OK then it went If that is the case then the line should be good... I believe you have a setting that say manual recive if the grenn light is lit next to that setting it will not pick up automatically it should be off
