SOURCE: 2nd handset doesn't work

Hi Rayfatz,
I think your problem might be that the second handset is not registered with the base station. Take the second phone out of it's cradle and place it in the base station (where the first phone is), and leave it there for 20 seconds. Place it back in it's own cradle, and it should start working. Hope this helps! Hal

SOURCE: treadmill will not operate when plugged up.

check the outlet first by plunging in a light to make sure their is power and that the house breaker was not tripped. then plug in the power cord next locate the reset/off circuit breaker on the treadmill frame near the power cord. Switch the circuit breaker to the reset position. Then place safety key on console and the display should light up if not then you may have a lower board problem.

I want to put machine in my house but need 110 motor instead of 220. nothing wrong with motor or control box

I'm assuming that you brought a vacuum cleaner from a country that uses 220V to a country that uses 110V.

You either have to change the motor to a 110V motor, or find a way of plugging the cleaner into a 220V supply.

You could contact the manufacturer and ask them if they have a 110V replacement motor for your model. (Safety warning... it will take double the electrical current, which will cause four times the heating in the cable; this could be dangerous.)

A better solution would be to have an electrician fit a 220V outlet in your house. The pin arrangement will be different to prevent 110V deviced being plugged in to it. You'll have to cut the existing plug and replace it with the correct one for that voltage for your country. (I have used a British 'Dyson' in this way, plugged in to a tumble-dryer outlet; I use a GFI for extra safety.)

I have a hotpoint refrigerator, model number HTS17GSERWW. It was a noisy appliance from very beginning. For last 2 weeks the noise has gotten very loud, it is inside the freezer compartment - when I open...

Good day,
The only moving part in the freezer is the fan motor. Unless the fan blade broke one of it's blades you will need to replace the motor with a new one. They are not repairable. At the same time buy a new blade as well, since an out of balance blade could have started this problem.
To access the motor, remove the ice maker, if it has one (3 screws and an electrical plug. The cube tray holder if not).
Remove the screws from the back panel, and remove the panel.
The motor change is a straight nuts and bolts job and fairly easy.

Any decent sized appliance parts house will carry the motor and blade. Take the model number with you.

Upright freeze made a popping noise like a thermostat

If you heard the noise at a fairly routine rate and time it was probably the defrost timer motor. Locate it and you should be able to engage it manually. It is a plug and go part to replace. Be sure to take the old one along with the make n model # with you to the parts house!!

Freezer GFI reset

no what rpobebly happened is that your freezer fillefd up with humidity and now its shorting out and tripping the breaker. make sure that theres no ice in the freezer also you should not really have it plugged intoi a gfi outlet.if its in the garage near the breaker panel i would add a dedicatefd outlet for the freezer from the electrical box.

Timer runs, but dryer will not start

Onry, the last 3 letters of the model number is missing. If this is an electric dryer the thermal fuse may be open. On electric dryers if the fuse is open the motor won't run. On gas, the motor will run but will not heat. There are two thermal fuses on the electric model. One on the front of the blower housing and the other on the element enclosure. Check the one on the blower housing first. You will need to remove the door by removing the 4 screws that hold the door hinge and spacers on the other side. Lift up on the door and pull out. Now the front panel will pull out and the blower cover will be visable. If this is a gas dryer we'll have to look elsewhere. Catriver..post back
