Hello, This seems to be a driver issue. As you have wiped out (formatted) your computer recently you have lost all the settings and softwares, which you have to setup again from the beginning.
If you need help finding the appropriate driver for your sound device. Please post the following: Model No Make
And if its a branded computer and you are using the integrated audio device the model and make of your computer would work
Thanks.

I'v put XP on my pc and now I can't get my wireless broadband to work

Hi, this is a common problem when one wipe there hard drive and reinstall an operating system, go to your common manufacture's website and download the driver for your wireless device and Ethernet controller. Recommendation: when ever you wiping your hard drive, also make a backup of your drivers by downloading them before you wipe. I recently wipe my computer, and i make sure i had all the device drivers before i wipe. Smile!

"This Copy of Windows is Not Valid"

You must activate your copy of Windows. Good old Micro$soft has Vista connect to the internet and automatically check to see if you have registered your copy. Since you had to reinstall, it now thinks you have a duplicate (and illegal) copy. So now you'll have to spend an hour or so on the phone to get another key.

Microsoft is the only place to get product keys for Microsoft products.

Information and help

It sounds like you have just recently installed a fresh copy of windows, I would suggest reinstalling again. If not, you can try re-downloading your driver from another location. (My link)

This is a software error message that can be interpreted as such or it can show potential hardware problems. Were you getting a lot of strange errors prior to reinstalling windows? It could be a problem with your math co-processor, memory, hard drive or even low voltages on your power supply. This one may take a bit of work. Good luck
