Is it possible to set the copy machine to NOT copy blue? We have an Aficio 4022/4027 at our school.

Hello rfaustin,
I understand your question and the possible reasons behind it. I have been a field engineer servicing copiers for over 20 years and the best answer I can give you is that your device does not have the ability to recognize one color over another. More recent models do but there are limitations there as well.Optical devices primarily look for the presence or absence of data (image) and especially with a black and white copier which because of customer needs have been refined to the point of being able to recognize and reproduce even the lightest lead pencil strokes. And your "digital" copier is one of the best at recognizing any image that is not pure white. You can "lighten" the exposure and minimize the blue as it will of course be naturally lighter than the rest of the black text of your document. I am sorry I could not "FIXYA" :-) but I hope I have helped you a little by providing the answer to your question. Be well. ..............SPINAL............
