Gear box gears are probably sheared off. this happened to ours. Order new gear box--easy to install.

Originally, i was experiencing slippage in the lower gears but after a week it has moved to all gears..Is it possible this is a chain issue? This is a 2003 kawasaki vulcan 800.

Hello Mike
As the slippage has got worse through each gear now, it sounds like clutch slippage. at first you would of only noticed it in the lower gears as they have more mechanical advantage but as the wear in the clutch got more it now takes less power "torque" to make it slip.
This may just be adjustment, but by now the clutch may be worn out, yo should have some free travel in the cable. should be evident at the lever, usually allow the thickness of the end knob as a distance for the lever to move before it starts to disengage the clutch. there could be adjustment at either end of the cable, this will look like a thread with a lock nut that the cable goes through.

I have changed my starter on my Ford windstar a few times and it runs. a lil and it starts whinning my started does or makes a terrible cracking sound.changed srarter and flywheel and drove it about 10...

check that the pitch of the starter is the same as the ring gear
starter bendix units come with different pitch ( number of teeth and has to be the same pitch as the ring gear or the teeth will start to bind up and cause all sorts of problems

On mySuzuki 600 Bandit 2003, iI feel a knoking noise on 4Th and 5ft gear.No slippage, good power.

Normally, a knocking sound in a specific gear set indicates a broken gear tooth. When replacing a broken gear, replace the gear(s) it engages with as well. If you don't replace them you will have the pleasure of doing the repair job all over again when the weakened tooth on the existing gear(s) breaks off. Remember, whatever caused the problem in the first place put pressure on both the broken tooth and the gear it was engaged to at the time. Most likely is a tooth on a slider gear.

SOUND LIKE BAD TRANSMISSION YOU CAN CHECK THE TRANS PAN FOR METAL SHAVINGS TO MAKE SURE YOU NEED A REBUILD. ALSO CHE YOUR TRANSMISSION FLUID SEE IF ITS RED OR BROWN BROWN MEANS USUALLY TRANSMISSION IS BURN OUT

1994 Chevy Suburban Gear slippage

I have had that feeling in my 95 Blazer and it turned out to be a $15 fix. It was the U-joint. Crawl under there and wrap your hands around the drive shaft. Rotate it back and forth. If there is a lot of slop, then it is the U-joint.

Slippage in second gear, pulls fine in all other gears and shifts fine, feels like broken tooth off gear or something of that nature

A broken gear tooth will cause a clicking sound. Start out in 2nd gear going slow. Hear any clicking? If so then TWO gears need to be replaced > the broken gear and the gear that meshes with it. If enough pressure was on a gear tooth to cause it to break, then similar pressure was on the gear it was engaged in. The gear may look okay, but it isn't. ALWAYS replace gears in sets.
