When running one draw water collects in unused drawer

We have had continueous problems with water collecting in the drawer that isn't being used after the other drawer. We keep having people come out and they find a lemon seed or something tiny in the wire catch basket and say that is the problem, but after a few day's of using it the problem happens again. One thing I should mention is that we do not have an air gap . We were told when we bought this dishwasher that this was one of the few dishwashers out there where an airgap wasn't required.

Thanks, Patricia

I would recommend that you check the dishwasher installation instructions to check if the water inlet and outlet are properly set up. Look at page 4.

If this is happening only with bottom drawer after top drawer is run, then it could be a leaking door seal. But if it happens with both drawers, then it is a bit un usual and could be due to a backflow in the drain hose.

If you are using inskerator in the sink, then make sure it is not filled up.

Hope this helps.

Water collecting at bottom of refrigerator under the two drawers

You probably have a self defrosting fridge. When it defrosts, the water runs down the back of the fridge inside and collects in a gully, just above the drawers, it runs through a hole in the centre of the gully, down a pipe to a plate which is positioned above the compressor at the back. The compressor gets warm ant the water evaporates.

The hole in the gully is probably blocked with debris or mould, as a result, the water overflows onto and into the drawers. MOST fridges have a dip stick like device in the hole, which you can use to jiggle up and down and clear any blockage. If you don;t have such a dipstick, a soft wire or bit of plastic tie will do to clear the pipe. Job done.

Have a rental property with F&P two draw dishwasher aprox five years old. Apparently bottom draw is holding water - what do you think?

Could be many reasons for the bottom drawer to hold water.

It could be leaky top drawer causing water to collect in the bottom drawer. Check if water collects when top drawer is running.

It could be blockage in the bottom drawer drainage which can be fixed by cleaning the filter plate and the drain sump. If the drain pump is not running during drain cycle then you will have to replace the drain pump motor.

Collecting water at bottom of frig inside under drawers.

begin by removing the grill on the front at floor level. look under there and you will see the evaporation pan. next pull the fridge out from the wall so you can get behind it. there you will see the tube. to unclog it you will have to disconnect it at the top and force hot water into it using a turkey baster.

Ice is forming on my "not working" ice maker drawer

check that the water isn't over filling the ice mould or that water isn't escapeing down the back of the draw due to an allignment issue with the filler tube. worst case could possibly be a cracked ice mould.
