Not knowing what type of car it is... I'll take a wild stab at it. I'm assuming that your car is a luxury type car, with a climate control system. I base this on the info you've provided thus far. I may be wrong. Still...
If your system is not controlled by manual cables and levers, it is controlled by servos, vacuum diaphragms and maybe louvers too. If that is the case, any of the above mentioned may have gone bad causing your issue "A/C works but cool air only comes out of the windsheld and floor vents "
I would strongly recommend you take it to an automotive AC shop and have them take a look at it. Regardless of what you decide to do, it is going to be either expensive to repair, or a royal pain to do yourself, because most/all of those things are under/behind the dashboard. Unless things are very spacious under there, it will be a bear to do.
My guess... servos, diaphragms and louvers are jacked up. Maybe you'll be lucky and it will be a vent hose that's disconnected. But that's wishful thinking. -Ric

AC has barely any pressure unless on high and only getting hot air.

check the cabin air filter if equipped, Make sure that the air is not coming out of the floor vents or defrost. The door that diverts the air maybe stuck, pushing air out defrost/floor vents

Rear Floor Vent heat only

Sounds like your heater coolant hose door flap is broken or loose. May want to check behind the heater controls, if your components are mechanically operated. If electronically, may need to perform more troubleshooting before replacing this component.

Cold air comes out the defrost vent all the time. 1994 buick le sabre. no air comes out the front registers.

The most common cause is the blend door actuator. It's the door that diverts air between the floor, vents, and defroster. Sometimes the part will get stuck in 1 position. Some cars have cable driven blend doors, others are electronic.

Air only blows to defrost

The problem is with the blower door actuator. It's vacuum driven and controls the air flow from the defrosters, vents, and floor. With the AC on, open the hood and check the lines (very skinny rubber lines) at the firewall in front of the passenger and work back ward. You're looking/listening for a vacuum leak, either a pinhole or maybe a worn end in need of repair.
