Variable condensator

My first solution was to clean the plates of the variable capacitors inside the radio, with isopropyl alcohol.
After that, for some time, let me listen and tune enough well.
But was an illusion: after some weeks the capacitor still add noise during the tuning. My disappoint about this radio is very high, as its price. The choice of this kind of variable capacitor is very big design mistake.

This will need to be taken to your local GM garage for them to unlock the radio. They may or may not charge for this service.

Need code for columbia co. ga 30907

1. Type in this URL address-http://www.nws.noaa.gov/nwr/indexnw.htm.

2. Click on your state

3. Find the county you live in. The S.A.M.E. code should be listed in the "SAME#" column. If you have two codes for your county, it probably means one of the codes transmits for different regions of your county. No problem, all you have to do is check your frequency station. Whatever frequency receives the best reception for your county (for example 162.450), put in the S.A.M.E code for the county that has that frequency.

How to pre set satitions

Your Sony is equiped for 5 AM presets and 15 FM presets.

1. Power your unit "ON".
2. Set the desired band - AM or FM.
3. Hold the "Mode" button down no more than one second. The "preset" indication just be gone.
4. Manually tune in the desired station you want to preset.
5. Hold "Enter" until preset indication re-appears. The number of the preset should be blinking.
6. Using the tuning buttons, change the the number to your desired "preset" number.
7. Push the "Enter" button to set the preset.

Remember, you can't have more than 5 AM presets (a mistake I made).

02 Ultra radio switches from cb to radio on its on

06 and newer CB modules have a weather alert feature that will switch to a radio station in case of an alert. The radio stations sometime transmit the signal by mistake. Check to see if your CB has this feature and if it does, turn it off
