Hi,the message compatible access point in range and suggests check connection settings means that to be able to play the game, you will need to update the game or the nintendo game,so that both the player and the CD game can be compatible and you can be able to play the game .

One of the two is not to ones versions yet. That's what it means.

Do an update.

I may not have been clear - it allows me to play the game but gives me the option of uploading my full portfolio to computer to store it and therefore start with an empty portfolio again - it is this upload attempt tp my laptop which is the problem - saying No compatible access pt in range etc as I outlined above - thanks

Hi again - afraid I may not have been too clear. The game works fine on the DS. The option of uploading the content of my full portfolio to my computer is where the problem is occurring telling me NO compatible access pt in range as outlined above. Any ideas

Hi, it's your computer program you are running. What software are you using? Is it Window xp or vista, window 7 etc.

Some of this windows don't allow some programs to run on them.

and also check your internet on the laptop.Do you browse with it? if know that message will keep on displaying till you set the right setting that will allow the laptop to be able to access the internet.

    Hope you understand.

No compatible access point in range - error code 51099

The Following website lists your Error Code. Per Nintendo:
"Likely cause: It appears that the settings entered into the Nintendo DS are not compatible, or the router's broadcast settings should be changed.
How to fix: Try creating a new connection with your system. Nintendo DSi owners trying to play multiplayer games will want to be sure to read the "Trying to play online multiplayer with Nintendo DSi."

I purchased used Ds games & need the instructions

Maybe just email Nintendo and let them know that you would like the instructions to the games. They will most likely email them to you.

How to i get to play two players on the Nintendo ds lite

You can play multiplayer games with a Nintendo DS Lite even if you don’t possess a copy of the game. If one of your friends has a multiplayer game card, they can use their Nintendo DS Lite as a host for the game session and you can join the multiplayer game.
jQuery('.intro .thumbnail').each(function(i,e){ jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); }); });
Things You'll Need:
  • Nintendo DS Lite
Using One Card to Host the Game
  1. Step 1 Look on the game’s packaging for the "Multiplayer" icon. If the game requires only one player to have a copy of the game, the icon will show two DS Lites: a DS Lite with a black screen transmitting waves to a DS Lite with a white screen. Below the two DS Lites is a range of numbers which indicates how many players the game can support.
  2. Step 2 Put the game card in the Nintendo DS Lite that is acting as the host for the multiplayer game session and start it up.
  3. Step 3 Have the other players turn on their systems. They will use the main menu screen to access the "DS Download Play" icon. They need to tap the icon to begin downloading the game information from the host DS Lite.
  4. Step 4 Begin playing when all of the systems have finished downloading the game information from the host.
  5. Multiple Cards for Multiple Players
  6. Step 1 Look at the "Multiplayer" icon. If every player in the game session needs a copy of the game in order to play, the icon will show two DS Lites, both with black screens, transmitting waves toward each other. A range of numbers is under this graphic and indicates how many people can play at one time.
  7. Step 2 Read the game's instruction manual on how to set up the game session. The steps required vary by company and sometimes by title within the same company.

I am trying to establish a wifi connection with another player with my nintendo lite ds but I keep on getting a message saying that there is no compatible access point in range and to check my connection...

It might me possible that your Wireless module is defective.
It's the only part on the systemboard that can be removed (with the black cable connected to it).
