SOURCE: Air conditioner will cool for

I would think the unit could be low on freon, overheating, shutting down...cooling down, and starting back up. Either this or the thermostat is bad. Feel the compressor to see if it's overheating, and it's not, check out the thermostat. Here's how to check the thermostat:
Good luck, and hope this helps.

SOURCE: Air conditioner cool for about

Hi there, this sounds as though the compressor is shutting off on its overload. Its getting hot and overloaded. Here is what you can try, to solve this problem, unless the compressor is going bad. Lets hope not! Go out side, unplug the unit, and take your water hose and wash out the condenser coil. They get dirty and cause the head pressures in the unit to get very hot, which in turn causes the compressor to draw almost maximum amps and shut down. It will cool off after quite some time and start over again. I bet this is your problem. Be careful not to flatten the aluminum fins on the coil as this will prevent air from being released out the back of the coil. Let me know your outcome. If this works, great, please rate me on my help to you.Thank you,
A/C, Contractor

Hi I keep getting a ch 67 after the unit starts fine and runs for like five minutes fan on all units work during that five minutes any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Low freon pressure switch is turning it off. As the coils cool down the pressure drops. As time goes on it will run shorter and shorter cycles. In warm weather freon 22 low pressure should be near 70 lb

Thanks for your information that " The unit has very cold air".It's cut off by indoor coil sensor.

Reason for shut off in 5 minutes.(There are one or more reasons for the problem) Check as follows.
1. Evaporator coil, air filter and bower wheel full of dusty. Service your unit completely.
2. Check rpm of blower motor. If less rpm replace capacitor.
3.If all above is o.k and still problem means defective coil sensor. Replace it.

Hope, it's helpful?

Check the thermostat, the sendor the control or the relay unit.
You must trace from the sensor to the control unit , check at the point of running and stop the change in voltage to confirm.
The control unit can be trigggered externally to test. If so the sensor can be the suspect.

Blowing of cold air every 5 minutes, and it says FP on the screen

FP is the code for frost or freeze protection. The unit will automatically do this periodically to prevent any damage caused by low temperatures although it should not be running as frequently as every five minutes. If the outside temperature is not low then it could either be a problem with the exterior thermistor (not the one you see from inside your room) or the control board could be on its way out.
