If the control panel lights up but will not run, unplug unit remove the toe panel and check in front and with an ohm meter check thermal fuse for the motor ,its in front white about an inch long and has two blue wires going to it they go bad all the time if good tour looking and a machine control or a motor

SOURCE: G.E. WHIRLPOOL DUET DRYER MOD.# GEW9200LW0

I had the same issue, pressed the End of Cycle button (held down for 3 seconds, it beeped and it reset). The button is cryptically labeled Hold 3 seconds for control unlock - works great now. Pain in the a$$ to figure out.

Problem: Push On Button, Press to Start. Click. Sensing. No Tumbling.

Solution: Called repairperson. Replaced Thermal Fuse (Part 3390719) and also suggested having venting system checked (ours vents through attic). Charged $198.00. This did not appear to be a problem that a layperson could fix, although a very handy person might be able to do it.

Whirlpool Cabrio dryer won't start - the sensing light stays on

An EXTREMELY helpful technical guide is folded inside the console housing.
WARNING: It is for appliance techs, DO NOT do the voltage/resistance checks if you are not well-versed in troubleshooting appliances! BUT, it does include putting the dryer in diagnostics mode and checking the sensors.
Post back any error codes you may get.

Dryer will not start cycle

Hi-- none of the solutions I've read here are working. Same problem, dryer not starting, it says "Sensing..." and then "Wet" and does nothing. It worked fine on the last load, except I noticed it read 11 minutes for a very, very long time (I think it got stuck). New load? "Sensing..." etc.
