This is just an update for the maps..and all changes made in the traffic ..and rules ...so that you will not end up on a one way street guided by the old maps...or so ..
The actual installation it doesnt take ..much ..and there is guidance and the executable on the disk does almost all...and every step is like when install a program ...you are asked and you choose the answer...probably you will have to choose stuff like language ..country or region ..and such ..
Just connect the device to the computer ..and run the disk ..

It should get upgraded quickly but if its not getting upgraded and your old version is also not working then,
Fix for an upgrade gone wrong:
If you find yourself with a non working unit or corrupted map data after the upgrade do not despair, there is still hope to "downgrade" your unit. First go to system settings and change the language (doesn't matter if it's to French or Spanish) Let the unit "upgrade" your unit again and make sure it goes well and finishes. then change the language back to English, but hit the eject button before the unit has a chance to start the upgrade. You will see "insert the appropriate disc" message. Take your old working disc (CNDV-50MT) for example and place it in the unit. IT will then "Upgrade" to the older version. You should now have your old version in English. Then again try inserting the new version disc again and retry. Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
