Bosch WFMC3200UC/01

When starting a load even if selecting the shortest possible time (39 min.) the load still displays 50 to 60 minutes to complete the load. This unit has done this from day 1. I just had a service man out and without any actual troubleshooting on the unit said that the control panel needed to be replaced at a cost of 412.70. Is this correct?
