Most ovens use a cut in limpet themostat(sometimes called button stat) typically normally open and closed at 40deg c. it will be this that will be not resetting to the open position at room temp. on rarer models the timer controls the cooling fan. some models of aeg and electrolux have a thermal delaying device located in abulb in the wiring loom. hope this helps

I have a double built in Whirlpool convection oven. I used the self-cleaning feature yesterday and the cooling fan won't turn off.

Neff electric oven stays hot after turning off

This is normal...there is a cooling fan built in to your oven designed to cool the facial controls when hot and can take some time to cool to an acceptable temper?ture that's why you can feel the air blowing,, usually above the oven door...if you switch off at the mains you are risking the plastic components on the facial melting. Just leave it to Run it is a very low wattage motor and costs very little to run

The problem will be the oven ele3ent has failed, a very common event.
It is located at the rear of the oven behind a removeable cover.
Make sure you have the power off.

Elements in convection oven won't heat

DO you have a model number for that. I'm almost sure it's a thermal fuse in the back of the oven. Usually they go out during or after cleaning but that would shut down both elements. If you have the model (usually by the inside door look all over and up in the cavity) Then if you go to this link

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action?intcmp=xsite_Sears

It will show you a breakdown of the oven and where it is. If you give me the model I'll show you what I'm talking about. Good luck.

P.S. if it the fuse it's a cheap fix, little hard to get in back of the oven but cheap!

Whirlpool Gold AccuBake - Auto Clean does not work

The cost of fixing this will be anywhere from 50-200 dollars. There are several variables here. The big expense comes in labor. With one this old, I would just live without it or you just have to have a self clean, go ahead and but a new one for about 400-450 dollars. You are looking at the last quarter of the oven's life anyway especially if you use it a lot. Fortunately for you, the oven still works fine without it.

Lower oven not heating up everything else is working fine

hi, we have had the same problem. You can order the element from many places online, the cheapest is about £25 ranging up to £60 from neff themselves. Fitting it is ok the hardest part is getting the fan off to change the actual element. However, be warned, we are now on our 4th element and it just went again last night. Neff deny that this is a known fault that the elements keep going. However, at least 10 of our neighbours have had the same problem with their oven too!

Overheating?

yes - it is cutting out on overheat. there are two fans - which one was replaced - cavity fan or casing fan?

possible reasons are:
faulty casing fan
not enough ventilation
faulty overheat stat
faulty fan stat
oven operating stat faulty but you would be burning your cooking in this case

Fan oven not heating, bosch hbn 202t

the fan oven element is separate from the grill element. the problem is that the circular element round the fan is blown. remove the back panel of the oven and you will see the element. replacement is easy. on most bosch, the element is removable from inside the oven but for some you have to remove the oven and take off the back casing

Thermador Oven won't heat after running self-cleaning cycle

SOunds like you need to reset the oven high limit switch. It should be located behind the grille obave the oven opening and below the control panel. There should be about 4-6 screws you need to take out to remove the grille to gain access. Turn the power of to the oven at the circuit breaker, then rech in with a screwdriver and push down on the little red button in the center of the hig limit until it clicks. the high limit should be about as big around as a quarter and have a wire going into one side and out the other. If this keeps tripping, you may have a bad cooling fan. When you run a self clean it should also run a fan to cool the components. You should be able to feel a breeze coming out of the bottom of the oven when the cooling fan (not the convection fan ) is running. If this fan doesnt run, it will trip that switch. Hope this helps!
