Hi there,I was having a problem with sound...so uninstalled realtek....went to reinstall...but I am not sure which one to download.I have an acer aspire around 4 years old,desktop.I can't see where the model number is.Any help appreciated!

Usually on the the lid, and also on a sticker under the laptop.
Download PC Wizard (CPUID) or Speccy (Pirinform)
this should tell you all the information you need

You can reinstall the sound drivers from the Acer recovery management, to do so:
Start Menu> All Programs> Acer erecovery management> Restore> Restore Application & Drivers> Contents> Select Realtek and install it

OR

Got to http://gd.panam.acer.com/home/
Select the computer model
Select Operating System installed on your computer
Click Drivers
Select Audio (Realtek) and download it.
Once downloaded, install it on your computer.

You can reinstall the sound drivers from the Acer recovery management, to do so:
Start Menu> All Programs> Acer erecovery management> Restore> Restore Application & Drivers> Contents> Select Realtek and install it

OR

Got to http://gd.panam.acer.com/home/
Select the computer model
Select Operating System installed on your computer
Click Drivers
Select Audio (Realtek) and download it.
Once downloaded, install it on your computer.

You can reinstall it. Click on Start Menu> All Programs> Acer erecovery management> Restore> Reinstall Application & Drivers> Select the appropriate sound driver (Realtek) and install it. Also visit http://support.acer.com/drivers_download.aspx
and select the appropriate model number and sound driver (realtek)

U have go to control panel>add remove program>and locate Realtek HD audio driver>uninstall it >and restart...

and then try reinstall the driver again.

Ive lost my sound?


Hi, if you have the original driver CD for your system then run the whole set up not just the audio. If you donot have this CD then look inside your computer, locate the manufacturer and any model numbers you can see. go the manufacturers web page and download the latest drivers there.
