Question about Gateway GT5252 PC Desktop

1 Answer

Well I was on my computer trying to finish my paper due for school and I saved my paper to my computer first then I wanted to plug in my usb so that I could save it to my usb and take it to school the next day. Right when i plugged in my usb everything on my screen froze and nothing was responding except my mouse's ability to move around. I turned off my computer by holding the power switch down for a couple of seconds. then i tryed to turn my computer on again and it would just show me the giant GATEWAY screen, and from the point it would just freeze there. I turned off my computer once again and the same problem would arise once again. i have a gateway GT5252

Sounds like there may have been a virus on the USB drive..
OR when you inserted the USB drive it shorted the usb port.
Can you boot into safe mode (F8)?
Can you get a windows disk to boot?
Please get back intouch if you can boot up either way.
If you cant, you may need to be looking for a repair shop

My USB just stopped working; I have a very important school project saved on it and nowhere else. Help!

What do you mean its not working? Is it not being recognized by the computer?
Try using different USB ports after restarting the computer. If this doesn't work, try to go to a different PC.
Hope this helps-

How to download a paper on a usb

If you are referring to saving a School Paper or even a newspaper, you can save is as a word or as a .pdf file. Insert the USB into a spare port on your computer, and when it is plugged in, you may wait just a few seconds for the system to recognise the USB. After that you open up your My Computer and look for the USB. Then you can just drag the word or .pdf file onto the USB. Simple as that :)

I have SanDisk Cruzer 8gb and once I got it plugged in the computer and got the applications I wanted, I couldn't save any of my school papers on it. Please teach me how to do this.

When you go to save your data in your application program it should let you save it to: go to my computer and look for the drive letter of your new flash drive and give your data a specific name and save it to that drive letter. You will be able to open it up by going back to my computer and double left clicking on the same drive letter and see your file their. Double left click on it and it should bring it back up for you. Hope this helps, let me know if it don't and we can go futher from thier. My E-Mail is woodworking57@hotmail.com

Pictures not loading to computer

It sounds like you don't have software on your PC that will recognize the camera when connected. I am going to recommend that you do not use the camera to upload photos. It is better practice to use external (SD) memory cards and remove them from the camera to upload. You can use a USB SD reader or purchase SD cards with a built-in USB interface. You should be able to see a new drive when connecting the SD card to your computer; then all you need to do is copy over the images. One advantage is that you will save camera battery while uploading because you dont need the camera at all. It also allows you to take images with you without taking the camera, i.e. school or work. I hope this helps...californiajones7889e54.jpg67432f4.jpg4db3d64.jpg
