Lighting pilot light

Pilot assembly is located inside the bottom compartment, between the the two middle burners while the gas valve is located under the burner manifold. Make sure that the gas line where the unit is connected is open. You need to turn the gas valve knob to "Pilot" position and depress it (to allow the gas to flow on pilot) then light the pilot assembly using a lighter with extended nozzle ( burner igniter). Once the flame is present at the pilot assembly, wait for about 15 seconds (allowing thermopile to heat up) the gradually release the gas valve knob. If the pilot flame is stable, turn the gas valve knob to "ON" position and set the thermostat to desired temperature setting. This will ignite the burners and heat up the oil to set temperature. Just remember, do not do this if there is no oil on fry tank.

How do you light the pilot light for a 70 series Kenmore dryer?

MOST modern appliances that use gas ignition (including kitchen ranges) no longer have a pilot light. These appliances are now equipped with a burner assembly with electronic igniters. The following link explains a little theory about how these igniters work:
http://www.fixya.com/support/r401858-replacing_oven_igniter_gas_range

I know the link is for a gas range, but the burner assembly functions are nearly identical, as well as, the type igniters used. If you are having ignition problems it may be a simple matter of a weak or bad igniter. The burner assembly will ignite automatically as long as the gas valve, igniter coils and igniter are all functioning properly. It can take up to 90 seconds for the burner to ignite. As the igniter ages, you may experience longer ignition times.

You can view an illustrations of your burner assembly at appliancepartspros.com, pcappliancerepair.com and searspartsdirect.com. If either of the igniter coils are determined to be defective, BOTH should be replaced at the same time. If you need assistance in troubleshooting the burner assembly components, or help identifying parts, please post back with your complete MODEL NUMBER (located on a nameplate around the door opening. I hope this information is helpful to you.

Is the pilot light manual or automatic light

MOST modern appliances that use gas ignition (including kitchen ranges) no longer have a pilot light. These appliances are now equipped with a burner assembly with electronic igniters. The following link explains a little theory about how these igniters work:
http://www.fixya.com/support/r401858-replacing_oven_igniter_gas_range

I know the link is for a gas range, but the burner assembly functions are nearly identical, as well as, the type igniters used. If you are having ignition problems it may be a simple matter of a weak or bad igniter. If you ar referring to whether or not the burner ignites automatically, or if you have to manually light it, the burner assembly will ignite automatically as long as the gas valve, igniter coils and igniter are all functioning properly. It can take up to 90 seconds for the burner to ignite. As the igniter ages, you may experience longer ignition times.

If the model number is correct, you can view an illustration of your burner assembly at appliancepartspros.com. The components I've mentioned are as follows: Item 4 - Igniter assembly Item 13 & 14 - Igniter coils (BOTH should be replaced at the same time if found to be defective). Item 10 - Gas valve assembly. If you have any questions, please let me know. Include your complete model number if it is different from the one you posted this question under. I hope this information is helpful to you.

My indersitt cooker wont stay lit once i have lit the oven with a lighter what do i need to do plz

When the bake igniter becomes weak or burns out, your oven will not bake. The bake igniter is usually mounted on the oven burner. It's about 1 inch by 4-8 inches (depending on the model), and comes in round or flat styles. If you don't see the igniter glow at all, it's probably burned out. Replace the igniter if found defective. Note: one of the exceptions could be that your oven is set to automatic mode instead of manual. If this is the case, set your oven to manual mode and check again.

If the bake igniter glows red and not bright yellow or white, it is probably because it is too weak. When this happens, the safety valve will not let the gas out into the oven burner. A weak igniter must be replaced.

A faulty igniter is probably the most common cause, however there are others:

-- defective thermostat(located inside the top section of the unit)
-- defective selector switch(mounted on the front control, or part of the touch pad assembly)
-- defective gas safety valve(mounted on the valve assembly)
-- defective gas valve coils(mounted on the valve assembly)

-- defective selector switch(located on the control panel, or part of the integrated control board key pad.)
-- defective gas safety valve(located on the gas valve assembly)
-- defective gas valve coils(located on the gas valve assembly)
-- defective flame sensor(located on the gas valve assembly)

NOTE(If everything checks out ok with the ignitior, and burner/valve assembly, this will lead to a failing control board)

Laars LG 250,000 Bypassed Safty's But NO Burner Light

Have you checked your pilot generator voltage while everything is connected properly? You may have a shorted wire or limit or even thermostat. If you jump the TH connections on the gas valve, it would lead to shorted, inoperable safety, thermostat.

If everything is connected properly, the MV reading should be 500+, less than this and you are losing power somewhere.

Pilot going out when thermostat turned on

This is caused by the safty bypass feature on the gas valve. You will need to replace the gas valve. This problem is a safty interlock built into the valve when it fails it will not let the main valve portion fire.
