If this is in a computer and the computer does nothing at all when you push the power button you might want to check the power supply. This can be manually done on an ATX power supply both 20 and 24 pin connections. First you remove the main system power cable from the mother board " big rectangle one " and locate the green wire. After you have found it use a paper clip bent in a U and touch the green wire and ANY black wire " all blacks are ground " This will turn on a power supply if its good. If your power supply fails to start i would look into buying a new one.
