please follow the below mentioned steps:
Connect the player, open device manager, right-click on mp3 under Portable devices, click "Uninstall", wait till it removes WALKMAN from the hardware list, disconnect the player, and plug it back in - Windows will find it and install proper drivers for you.
I sense a driver issue, so the above steps will automatically resolve your issue.
make sure you have internet connectivity while you do it.
