I own this a/c and netnut71 is absolutely correct. You will not see most modern window a/c units drip condensation. They recycle through for cooling purposes. We even have one window a/c we nicknamed "Mr. Slurpy" because he's the loudest. :)

SOURCE: Drain Hole for Frigidaire Window Air Conditioner

Leave it alone. DO NOT attempt to create a drain. As long as a window A/C unit is installed properly, (angled slightly down toward the rear) it will drain excess water over the rear lower lip of the unit should it get that high. Many models use some of the collected water/condensation. It gets lifted up by the fan blades to cool the coil.

dirt, dust, or mold. could also be the tubing insulation flaking off. either way, open it up and clean it out. the dirt, dust, and flaking insulation can restrict air flow through the coils and cause the ac to not function properly. if it is mold, it's can cause sickness (legionaire's disease). do not use chemicals on the coils. it might be best to replace the ac alltogether. to prevent mold: when installing the ac, make sure the unit is slightly tipped towards the outside. any condensation that collects on the coils will drain out. failure to do so will result in water pooling inside, and this can cause mold.

SOURCE: my ge window air conditioner

Hi,
On many of the newer air conditioners they intentionally keep some water in there so that it splashes onto the condenser coil and helps to cool it....while this may work well it also creates more noise....so I often recommend to drill a drain hole in the back corner...jus drill down from the top...drilling up from the bottom is a great way to drill right through the coil....

The tray that holds the condensed water from the evaporator
may be clogged, it may be clogged before the cleanout hole,
where the tray joins the pvc, if this is the case you may have to
power down your ac unit, there is a panel on your heater unit
that you will have to access to expose the evaporator coils and
you will see the tray where the condensation builds up and flows
thru a pvc pipe to go outside. also make sure that the pipe going
outside is at a slope so that the condensation can flow and not
clog the pipe. make sure that water can flow from the tray thru
the cleanout hole. once you correct the problem. you need to reseal all the seams with duct tape or metalic tape, you can purchase at most hardware stores, to make sure their are no ac
cool air leaks other than thru your ac vents. good luck!

Does this unit dehumidify the room in which it is running, or just the air from the intake? As I understand it this dual hose air conditioner does not interact with the air inside the room it is cooling...

Yes it does. Whenever you cool air, you reduce the amount of water vapor it can hold. As a result, if you are cooling room air you are automatically removing some of the moisture from the air as well. The condensate is probably re-evaporated into the exhaust air, or accumulates in a bottle; depending on the style of this model which you have left unspecified.

Carpet wet under window air con.

The air conditioner needs to be "tilted" or "pitched" to the rear. By this I mean the back (outside) should be slightly lower than the front (inside). This will allow the water to run toward the back of the unit, and drip on the ground instead of inside the house - on the floor. The A/C unit must not be level or tilted into the room (front even with or lower than the rear).

This water is the result of condensation that is created when the warm room air is drawn through the much cooler coil & fins inside the unit and is completely normal. The more humid the air inside is, the more condensation will form, and drain away.

Good luck!
