Streaky prints with vertical lines running through

I'm getting streaky prints with vertical lines running through them.
There's new ink, i've run calibration, cleaning and diagnositcs sheet.

When I run anything through the rollers I get a black line down my copy/scan. How do I fix this? I have cleaned the rollers and it didn't fix my problem.


only thing I know is when my copier/printer was doing this it was from refilled ink cartridges. if you are using refilled try replacing with new ones.

My printer is printing really poor photos - they see to have lines running thru them. I have already replaced the cartridges


This is not a problem with the ink cartridges but the printhead.
Please follow the below mentioned steps:
  • Reseat the ink and the printhead. If you need help in doing so, please go to the link http://faqs.kodak.com/atg/faq/attachments/AUR1780-2.pdf
  • After reseating, it would ask you to calibrate for which it will display the instructions on the lcd screen.
  • Once you are through with the calibration, try celaning the printhead by choosing the Clean printhead option in the menu and do a Deep clean.
  • Then, try printing a Demo sheet by choosing Print demo sheet option from the menu.
If the problem still remains, you need a new printhead which you can get from Kodak free of cost.

I changed the black ink cartridge and the printer


Calibrate your new blank ink cartridge, have some nozzle check, cleaning check, and printer alignment. This are procedure that new ink cartridge will have to calibrate before you use. Epson printer are very sensitive when capable of changing ink cartridge. Unlink HP directly work without any print test because the cartridge head and ink join together, Epson with ink cartridge and the head separate.
Have some test on it at Printer Maintenance.
I'm sure 100% works on it.

How to fix ink lines running vertically on sheet


The system needs to either be cleaned or calibrated. The print heads can be cleaned with rubbing alcohol and cotton swab. To calibrate, you may have to look in the manual for maintenance or calibration settings.

Printer output has shadows, blurring, streaks, lines, poor color


Seem like blocked hole(s) on the color print head...
Most likely if there is a deep clean option then do it (may need a few times to unblock a hole or never).
Also get the printer physically cleaned up if you can see dusts inside (vrtical lines on color bars).
