Hp photosmart c4435 will not install properly

Go into Control Panel (classic view), Administrative Tools, Services and find the Print Spooler service. Right-click it and choose Stop. Wait for the service to stop, then right-click and Start. (You can just choose Restart but if it is hung, you may have better results stopping the service first and then starting it.)

If you're still having issues installing, try the following:

After a restart, let everything load and then press ctrl-alt-del and go into Task Manager. Stop all non-essential processes (things that run in the background, like msn messenger, yahoo messenger, Google Update, iTunes service, etc - these are just examples). One of these background programs may be interfering with the install as well.

And then try installing again.

At this point, if you're still having issues with the spooler (or even if you're not :) ) you should run a full virus scan, as occasionally, spooler problems are a symptom of an infection.

Trying to install new printer. HP Photosmart C6280 All in One printer stops half way through the CD instructional window appears stating "The Windows Installer Could Not Be Accessed. This Can Occur...

Microsoft has an article at:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/319624

Hopefully, the first method works:
Method 1: Unregister and re-register the Windows Installer loadTOCNode(2, 'moreinformation'); 1. Click Start, click Run, type MSIEXEC /UNREGISTER, and then click OK. Even if you do this correctly, it may look like nothing occurs. 2. Click Start, click Run, type MSIEXEC /REGSERVER, and then click OK. Even if you do this correctly, it may look like nothing occurs, or you may briefly see an hourglass. After you run this command, the operation is complete. 3. Try your Windows Installer-based application again.

Printer will not print after mistakedly deleting the printer

Hi Dreams,

All-in-one printers like yours have a BUNCH of drivers that need to be installed. That's why it has such a lengthy install program. Sometimes you just have to start from scratch. So let's back pedal and try it again. You're going to need the CD that came with the printer.

First:
  • Click Start
  • Click Control Panel
  • Click Printers
  • If your printer shows up here, remove it
Then:
  • Disconnect the Printer cable.
  • Run the Install program again
  • Only plug in the cable when prompted to do so
When you plug the cable in it should now recognize the printer.

Best regards,
Mike
