My daughter bought a aspire 5532 and she is not able to load the windows, a blue screen shows up and says it cannot load. I dont know where to go from here she just bought it 3 months ago from Best Buy but didnt get the warrenty on it. she had just enough to buy it so we a kind of stuck and dont know what to do with it

Probably the easiest way to resolve this issue is by following the steps outlined below.

1. Shut down the computer.
2. Turn the computer on and immediately press F8 repeatedly until you get the "Advanced Boot Options" menu.
3. use the down arrow to select "Safe Mode" and press enter.
4. Window is should start with a "Help" window.
5. In the help window there is an underlined "What is System Restore?"
Click on that and "Click to open System Restore"
6. click on that and a new window comes up recommending restoring to a previous state.
7. Click ok and the operating system should restore your computer successfully and reboot into normal mode.

The Acer Aspire eRecovery tool comes in both a DOS and a Windows version with the Windows version offering more features. To open the DOS version, boot up your computer and press the Alt + F10 key combination when you see the Acer splash screen. To open the Windows version, allow Windows to load and then open Acer eManager followed by double-clicking the eRecovery link.
Using the eRecovery tool is fairly simple once you have it launched. You can either restore your Acer Aspire to factory settings from the hidden partition or with the recovery CDs. Once eRecovery loads, you may be prompted to enter a password. According to Acer, the default password is: 000000. If you have not changed the password, enter these six zeros when prompted.

if u dont have orignal opreating systeam on u r pc then u can install xp u said u have sata hdd
1) check u r orignal set up is working properly for harddisk working . if it's not working check it by Herenboot it's third party sofware which boost up u r systeam for checking .
2)some time blue screen errors comes cuse CD is not good which u r using or , harddisk having bad sector or RAM problem while installing xp
3) try on of this option

I have a aspire one notebook computer i bought last year it boots up to the windows part then it takes me too a blue screen with two computers on the page and the name aspire one what's wrong??? please...


The blue screen (called the blue screen of death) comes up usually when enough hardware has changed that it "flags" the system, telling it not to boot. This is kind of like a voting system, drives count so much, video cards count so much, etc. One way to make the blue screen come up for sure is to move the hard drive from one computer to another. This particular thing overrides all other votes and says "no way." This is because it knows which processor was in place when windows was installed, and if a different one shows up it knows the drive was installed in another computer. This happens on desktops a lot, like when you change video cards too often, and other hardware. I haven't seen it too much on laptops, but it can happen. Usually, if you get a blue screen, you will have to reinstall Windows.

Restore gone wrong?


I would try and boot into safe mode (F8) and try a different restore point.
If you have a xp disc you can try a repair installation.
You pop the disc in DONT choose to repair, carry on as if you are installing windows, it will search for previous versions and it will offer you the chance to perform a repair installation.
this looks like a full install and takes as long but you dont loose any programs or files.

How do you open/activate the aspire 5532 camera


Go to Hardware,in your control panel and do a hardware search to see if windows detects the camera.It may already be partially installed and needs addition drivers to completely load it.Your laptop should already have come with the driver software(CD/DVD) that contain all the drivers needed for your laptop:)

thats the blue screen of death generally its an issue with ur RAM try taking the Ram out n replacing it as maybe connection error if thats no help Replace it with some New RAM n will fix the Problem

Acer aspire 5532 won't connect to our wireless


Please be sure that, the machine has a integrated wireless receiver. Then you have to make a new wireless connection and not a lan cable connection.

How do i use my webcam on acer 5532


You don't have a web-cam on your Acer Aspire 5532. Sorry, I actually bought a brand new Acer Aspire 5532 with Windows 7. It's really nice but that little black circle at the top of your screen is not a camera. I do believe you can have one installed though.
