Craftsman 25cc Gas Line Trimmer Logo
Posted on Aug 02, 2010

I have a craftsman 32cc weedwacker line trimer. Having trouble starting it. I noticed that the fuel lines didn't look to good so I replaced both. Installed a new spark plug and put in a fresh tank of gas oil mix. When I prime the bulb and try to start it, it seems that the gas in the bulb isn't going anywhere. I also to apart the carb and cleaned it our the best I could. Still doesn't start. If I squirt some fuel directly into the choke hole it will start for a sec or two. Any ideas?

Sounds as if the Carb needs to be cleaned out. Get yourself a can of non-chlorinated brake cleaner and spray the carb out really well. Then reinstall the carb. Also check any ports in the carb to make sure there isn't any debris blocking the flow of fuel. I would also suggest getting some Stabil Marine (blue) fuel stabilizer. The ethanol in gas destroys small engine carbs. Just mix this in with your gas tank the next time you fill up. How old is this fuel? The ethanol also absorbs water, so even while in the gas can it is obtaining moisture. The Stabil Marine formula helps lesson the effects of the ethanol.

Was given a craftsman 32cc weedwacker. no manual. need to know what fuel it takes.

The website just says gas/oil (http://community.craftsman.com/Craftsman-Convertible-32cc-Gas-Line-Trimmer-reviews?tab=details). I'm not sure what that means. But on the Craftsman Community web page (http://community.craftsman.com/community) there is a link that says Feedback and Support. If you click that and fill out the form, someone should get back to you.
Hope this helps!

I had to replace the fuel lines on my craftsman 32cc weedwacker. I removed the throtle line from the carburator and now I can't figure out how to replace it. I would appreciate any help offered.

There should be a little hole on the carb linkage that is usually triangle shaped and the cable has a little "S" looking linkage on it work it into that hole on carb.Good Luck...

Try to replace fuel line craftman weedwacker 32cc/1.9c.u -trimmer-hose all rotten cant figure how to replace

You will need to get some TYGON fuel line. Match it up to the size of each fuel line, some of these trimmer use two different size lines, and remember which size went on which connection. You will want about a foot of each. Cut one end of each line at a 60 degree angle. With a pair of needle nose pliers, feed the angled end of the fuel line into the hole going into the tank and feed it into the tank untill you can see at the tank fill. You cut the angled end off and put your filter on the line. Pull it back until the filter lays at the bottom of the tank. Hook this line up to the supply side of carburetor. Take the other line and put it in the tank about 1" or 2"
then cut it off to fit on the carburetor. HTH
Good Day.

Craftsman 32cc would not idle

If you are certain that you have correcting gaped the plug then the next step is to readjust the low end idle carburetor. If you look you should see two holes in the plastic cover that lead to the flow adjustment screws they may even be out in the open. If they are not labeled H and L (the L is the one you want), check your manual for the correct one. A good place to start is turning the screw all the way in then backing it out 1 1\2 turns. Then check it. If you still have problems do 1\4 turns out. After about one full turn from that you might want to consider taking the carburetor off and removing the float bowl or the bottom for a good cleaning. A sticking float could cause problems with your fuel flow.
Hope this helps.

Craftsman weedwacker keeps dying

If the weedwacker runs OK on 1/2 choke or even better on full choke then most likely the cause is the carb gaskets are stiff and can no longer pump the fuel. Of course make sure the fuel lines are are the right ports (return and supply). While you have the carb apart clean all of the passages with carb cleaner.
