You may have a blocked or jammed drain pump filter.
Check the drain filter as described in the manual. Access is via the small hatch at floor level. Make sure the machine has as little water as possible, because it will empty via the pump when you check the filter. Lean the machine back against the wall to help contain what water is in the machine.
Unscrew the pump filter, check and clean. Also check that the impeller is not jammed by a coin or a hairclip or similar. (That could be the clicking noise.) Replace filter and test. Sometimes the impeller comes off the pumpshaft. In this case the pump motor would need to be replaced by a serviceman...
Good luck....Nomess

What is causing my Kenmore top washer to make a grinding noise before the rinse cycle?

Have you replaced the clutch or spin tube? There is a brake actuator that comes with the clutch kit and if this is broken it can make a very loud grinding or clacking sound.

Washer wont drain

Hello shirley_dods - Is the washer making a humming noise? If so, either the drain hose or pump is clogged and needs cleaning. Try setting the cycle to spin cycle only. Will water pump out? If it does not, then the washer could possibly be experiencing a communication error with the control board, faulty pump, timer or door lock assembly. At this point, I recommend connecting with a professional to accurately pinpoint any potentially more serious issues.

Have you removed the hoses to the drain pump and looked for any kind of obstructions. You will need to make sure there is nothing blocking or slowing the impellar wheel.

Whirlpool Duet 9100 starts cycle then stops & wont drain

F2 code is a drain issue. If you are not using he detergent you can cause slow draining and then you will get the code. Try using less detergent. Also, try disconnecting the power to the washer to reset controls.

Loud noise, then not so loud, but now electrical burning smell and little draining

the smell is your clutch and the lack of draining is a clogged washer drain protector. see these at www.repairclinic.com drain protector is part 541811 and clutch is 2670. go there enter model number and scroll down to the red 100 click it and look for these part numbers.

Loud noise in spin cycle

Most leaks are associatd with your drain pumps although it can leak from the tub. If its the tube the seals in it are worn if it the drain pump - the first point to check is where the drain hose connecs to the pump otherwise you may need to replace the drain pump

The noise - if its what i am thinking of starts just as the spin cycle stsrts and just as it finishes - usually a clutch problem - worn - parts need to be changed.

Washer stops at the point it should drain the water and continue on with the rinse cycle. You don't hear any noise at the point it should drain the water.

lid switch most likely ..listen for a click when lid is raised and slowly shut..depending on brand or model switch is on right side of lid opening or under edge just behind hinges
