You are in the Fixed decimal place mode.

To change back to a normal mode press the Shift button(top upper left bluish color) and ten the Mode button (top upper right)

You will get a list of items from 1 to 8.

press the 8 button which is normal.

It will ask which normal mode you want. The difference is how it display the output within a certain range of values.

The "1" will show an exponetial format for value beyond 2 so .005 would be 5X10-3.

I would choose mode 2 so that it will only show exponetial beyond -9

If this digit is 5 or more, add 1 to the original column, otherwise don't add 1 to the original column.

Make numbers to the right of the original column 0.

Let's round this to the nearest 10s. The number immediately to the right is 8, so we add 1 to the 10s column and make the numbers to the right zeros. I get 4,320.

When rounding, we always have to look at the number in the column one to the right of the column that we are rounding to. In this case, the hundred thousands column has the 8 in it. The column to the right has the 7. Since 7 is 5 or greater, we must add 1 to the 8 and set all columns to the right to 0. Thus, we should get

25, 382, 900,000.

This usually means this unit is toast:(. if off warrenty you might need to buy a new one. try getting a comercial b140 or 150 as they are a little more robust.

Sounds like the chain brake was set when you took the cover off. You need to disengage the chain brake (release it) so the round spindle will fit inside. Look for the two parts (one on cover, one on saw) that match up at the base of the chain brake. You won't be able to fit the whole cover on, but if you can line up where the metal triangular gear engages the chain brake, you can give it a snap to disengage it. What I have done in the past is to line up the two parts and push down on the top of the cover where they meet so as much of the gear is in the chain brake release as possible ( I put a knee on it ) and then give a snap to release it. Be careful though, because the cover part is plastic and you don't want to strip that part of the chain brake assembly. Good luck.
