Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Dell latitude d600 how to remove bios password

1) Removing the RTC battery (CMOS) for a small period of time, and reinstalling will NOT clear the BIOS password.
Just wanted to state that in case anyone has referred you to this method.

2) There is a chipset on the motherboard that retains the password when set. It has to be shorted out in order to lose power stored. Once the power is gone, the set password is gone also.

The chipset is on the BOTTOM of the motherboard. The motherboard has to be removed in order to access it.

I feel comfortable giving you this information because a thief is too lazy to go this far, to perform the above procedure.
