Hey hi dude. You cannot use your phone as the modem for any of your systems or laptops as it wont provide any output from the mobile. Till now this innovative idea didnt come to any of the service providers i guess. But in near future your wish will get fulfilled!!!!!

Can i used bluethooth to pair my samsung champ to my pc an used it as a modem to get connect to internet?

This phone does not have WLAN so it doesn't have a built in modem. As such, this phone will not 'tether' a PC to the Internet.

Note: When you do find a phone that has a modem to tether with, consider using a USB cord to connect the phone to your PC instead of Bluetooth. You'll be able to view Internet pages much a faster.

It's definitely the router's fault.
Someof them have bugs in their internal software which leads to some buffer overflow in a certain amount of time. Go to the router's configuration interface and look for an option to upgrade the firmware (internal software) of the router. If this doesn't help, return it and purchase a different model.

I've even seen people using on/off timers to cut power to the router for a couple of minutes at some time during the night for a "forced" reset :)

Modem

Found this after some deep looking from blackberry itself: Good Luck

A BlackBerry smartphone with tethered modem capabilities can be used as an external modem to connect a computer to the Internet.
Summary of Tasks To set up a tethered modem, complete the following tasks:
  1. Install BlackBerry Desktop Software 4.1 or later (one time only).
  2. Set up the Internet access point name (APN) (one time only).
  3. Configure dial-up networking (one time only).
  4. Connect to the Internet using dial-up networking.
Task 1
Install BlackBerry Desktop Software 4.1 or later on your computer.
When you install BlackBerry Desktop Software, the drivers that allow the BlackBerry smartphone to communicate through the Universal Serial Bus (USB) port and virtual communications port are installed. The standard modem, which is used by dial-up networking, is also installed.
Note: If upgrading your BlackBerry Desktop Software from version 4.0 to 4.1, the required virtual communications port and standard modem might be removed during the upgrade process. If this is the case, re-install the BlackBerry Desktop Software 4.1 or later and choose the Repair option to re-install these components.
Task 2
Set up an Internet APN.
  1. Click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Phone and Modem Options.
  3. In the Phone and Modem Options window, click the Modems tab.
  4. Select Standard Modem and click Properties.
  5. Click Change Settings.
  6. In the Standard Modem Properties window, click the Advanced tab.
  7. In the Extra initialization commands field, type the following: +cgdcont=1,"IP","<your Internet APN>"
Note: The following is applicable for T-Mobile® customers only:
The extra initialization command is: +cgdcont=1,"IP","wap.voicestream.com"
Note: If you do not know your Internet APN, or if you do not have an Internet APN, contact your service provider.
  8. Click OK.
  9. In the Phone and Modem Options window, click OK.

My c600 latitude

you didn't mention the operating system but here goes how I'd handle it.

Got to control panel, phone and modems, and remove the modem from the listing.

Remove the Xircom Card from the system.

Search for telephon.ini, and rename it telephon.old

Start, run tapiini.exe, enter (You see a quick flash and nothing else)

Reboot, let the system get to the desktop

Re-insert the card, let it re-detect and reinstall the modem

If the modem fails the query test in Phone and Modems again, the go to device manager, find the modem entry, right click it, select properties, see if any conflicts are listed. If any are found, post them here along with the version of Windows you are using.

I also found this article from intel, it might be helpful
