Question about HP Computers & Internet
MY computer can find the DVD. When I ran a diagnosic it said, can't find driver. I looked on HP (HP computer) and nothing. Can you help?
Is the computer still under warranty by HP? If so, exercise the warranty.
Enter BIOS SETUP, and check that the motherboard has detected the CD/DVD drive.
Check that the "power" adapter is securely plugged-in to the drive.
Check that the "data" cable is securely connected to the drive AND to the motherboard.
If all else fails, spend $40 to buy a replacement CD/DVD reader/writer, and responsibly recycle the old drive.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
