Please test the power source that the computer is plugged into and confirm it is working with a lamp or something.
If power source is confirmed working and the computer is plugged in and it is turned on and there is still no signal to the monitor and the ethernet lights are not on when the cable is plugged into it. Also check that all cables from the monitor to the computer are connected properly and secure. if the above has been done and still no signal then there are some Possible Causes
1. Mother Board failure (video card on motherboard is defective)
2. Monitor Failure (computer is sending video signal but monitor can not process it)
3. Video Card failure (if the video card is not designed into the motherboard)

Troubleshooting and repair
See if you can get access to another monitor to test the computer with to see if it sends he video signal ok to that monitor. If you can not get access to one then the only option is to get a video card and either you can install it yourself, or have it installed at a repair station.
If you purchase the card and install it yourself most stores will let you return the cards if they do not work or they are not usable. If you do go that route just make sure to ask about return policies prior to trying it.

I would really consider replacing the video card first you can get them from 30.00 and up and there is ony a few screw to remove to install them. Most of the video card manufactures also have tech support for helping people with the installations of the cards.

I would not worry about the lights on the modem or network card until the monitor issue is resolved so you can then see if it is indeed making a connection to the internet.

Is it possible to connect a standard DSL modem - without Wi-Fi (with 1 Ethernet port) and a DSL modem - Wi-Fi (with 4 Ethernet port) to broadcast Wi-Fi singles

Does the non wifi modem give out DHCP addresses?
Can the wifi modem be set up to receive it's IP address from DHCP?
If the answer to both these questions is Yes then that's what to do as a first step. Make sure the wifi modem DHCP service is disabled as it must NOT give out DHCP addresses.
Connect the ethernet port of the non wifi modem to one of the LAN ports of the wifi modem and NOT the DSL/WAN port. The wifi modem is not participating in any DSL connectivity at all so it's DSL light will remain off. The non wifi modem is doing the DSL duty so it's DSL light should be correctly illuminated.

When i connect the dsl cable to it the dsl light starts flashing green then red

Put tinfoil over your splice connectors and filters as they leak signals that totally confuse your modem. Never leave any bare wires, I tinfoil the entire modem to prevent the neighbors from hacking me. I don't use wireless, only CAT5 ethernet cable.

I can't get online to google or anything because the laptop will not come out of the offline.

If you are on a wireless network with a router, power cycle all your equipment to get it back in sync with each other.

1. Turn off the power to your router( 1st) , your modem (2nd) and pc (3rd). in this order. Wait a few min.

2. Take out the ethernet cable from the router (until your modem reacquires a signal to the internet) and if the pc is connected to the router unplug the Ethernet cable from the back of the pc.

3. Turn on the power to your router wait for all the lights to come back up. Then turn on your modem and wait for all the lights to come back up and reacquire a signal. Once all the lights are on the modem, plug the ethernet cable back into the Internet jack of your router.

4. Turn on your laptop. After Windows loads and you get to your desktop, plug the Ethernet cable in to the back of the pc( if you connect wired) or try to connect to your wireless network.

5. Then open your browser and type in this web address:

http://www.purple.com

if a purple page comes up-You are connected to the Internet.

Have you tried to reset router. It has to be done in order.
1. unplug router
2. unplug modem
3. shut down computer and restart after waiting 1 min
4. after restarting computer plug power back into modem and wait for all the lights to start blinking
5. after the modem is working plug power back to router and plug in the computer with ethernet cable and make sure you have internet,
6. try to link up with wireless,
If this does not work you will have to setup the router for wireless if it is att wireless you will have to call them to give you the password to set it up.

My web browser is not working. i cant acces the internet

make sure your ethernet cable (RG45 , looks like , bigger version of telephone cable) is plugged into your (ethernet) port of the computer and the other end of the cabel must be conncted to the modem or router). make sure the router has power and the modem has power, both turned on .
Are the lights on the modem or router lit up ?
the modem must be attached to the router via anolther RG45 ethernet cable. The modem must be conncted to a main signal cable or ethernet jack from your wall outlet or plug

let me know if this helps -- otherwise get in conbtact with your internet service provider

Keeps flashing Receive light but not connected

when the receive light blinks it means its either receiving or attempting to receive a signal. If its not connected with the ethernet cord then its trying to receive and find the signal from your ISP (internet service provider).

Ethernet light flashing

Check your DSL Filters on your house phones or anything connected to the phone line EXCEPT the modem. The modem should not have a filter on it. If this doesnt help I would recommend getting your ISP out to test the line because sometimes the resisitors or hardware in the box goes bad or at the DSLAM.

Speedstream 6520 isnt broadcasting a signal to connect to

if the pwr light is on, its not a pwr issue.
if the ethernet light is on you should be recieving a signal.
sometimes you may need to reset your modem and refresh everything in the case of pwr outages or unplugging etc.
i suggest calling your internet service provider and having them walk you through a manual reset of your modem

Ethernet Light

the wireless light should flicker indicating it is sending a wireless signal out to a reciever.

If you have security for the wireless router so nobody else can connect without permission enable it or turn off the wireless signal if not using it.
