Question about Printers & Copiers

1 Answer

I have a Canon S330 printer which I have had for over five years and it has always been extremely reliable. However, very recently, it has not been printing so well. I typed a full page A4 letter yesterday and one line in the last paragraph would not print properly, yet the rest of the text was perfect. I tried reprinting it about six times but still the same line was scarcely legible. There was nothing different about this line - I was using the same letters and words as the rest of the text. Since then it seems that it prints shorter letters and documents ok but any full length A4 there is usually two or three lines near the bottom which don't come out properly. It makes no difference replacing the ink cartridge. Any suggestions please.

It could be that the page lenght or papaersize is incorrect, you could try to adjust the paper size to A4 / letter size depending on the paper that is standard

Canon f80 multipass New five years ago never

Are you using Windows Vista or Windows 7? If so, the driver download page at Canon does not provide drivers beyond XP. Otherwise, go back to the XP (or earlier versions) driver downlaod site and download the MultiPASS F80 Software User's Guide. That may provide the answer to your problem. Also, if you are using unpopular, proprietary software programs the driver may not recognize the commands. Good Luck!

My cannon s330 wont print at all. message reads problem sending document to printer, printer not responding. green light continues to flash from green to orange?

Hmm, Not a big deal.

May be your drivers are currupted.
Try to uninstall the printer and install it again.
If you have the drivers CD than good, otherwise you can download drivers free from here or here also.

Hopefully the problem will be solved, if not than don't hesitate to contact again.

And if this helps, kindly do rate!

Always ready to help!
Regards.

Can't print to mac wirelessly (could do it a few days ago)

I had the same problem until recently. You have to install the drivers FROM THE CD that came with the printer, instead of selecting the drivers from the default list. Then, when selecting which printer driver to use (you'll have two options) choose Canon IJ and NOT Canon MX310 series. This is a problem with their MX310 driver, which is solved using a default/generic Canon InkJet (hence, the IJ) driver. Hope this helps!
P.S. This only works on Mac OS X. I have yet to figure out how to print wirelessly through Vista. Will keep you posted.

Ink tank error

I have this too, and what other sites said was that this is a problem with the cartridge chip (search for error U071 for more info). Apparently a new cartridge will solve the problem, and Canon will reimburse you (if it's a proper Canon cartridge).

For me it also works to 'shake things up' a bit, but removing the cartridges and putting them back in, but it keeps coming back. :<
