Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

Photosmart C6380 I am having trouble connecting my HP laptop to my HP printer wirelessly(not sure if that's a word), yet my Gateway and Dell laptops can connect perfectly to the printer wirelessly. Everything goes well through the software setup; finds the network printer, says printer is detected, goes from 38% to 68% and then BOOM...a big red "X" comes on the screen saying "printer setup failed!" Please help me! I'm sure there is something on the computer blocking me from the installation. I even tried to download the Windows XP drivers for my network and it still wont work. Marshall

Base from the description of your problem it seems something is blocking on the printer setup on your HP laptop , this can be cause by some security software that you may have on your computer, first disable any security software like firewall and anti virus installed on your computer then try to install the printer again.

I have an HP c6389 printer i just got my new laptop and tryed to install my wifi printer so i downloaded the proper software from HP home page . But i canot install it at least via wifi . I cant even see...

Your laptop needs to be connected to your wifi network and verified by opening a web page to a new page.

The printer needs to be connected to the wifi network name and the wifi password added as well. This is normally done via the display on the printer itself.

Then the two will 'see' each other.
