LG 60PZ550 Plasma - No Sound, No Picture Troubleshooting TVs and Video Sources. ... I see no change in the screen at any point (no glow). With the rear cover ... I've worked with some electronics in the past, but am new to TV's. I'm sure .... Multimeter on DC 1000V, red on (+) marked, black on (-) marked. Lg 3d plasma 60pz550 i've got sound but no picture

Sound issues and answersa short list:

sound on set or a box muted or turned down?

speakers inside the set (see menu) switchedon or off?

internal/external switch somewhere in or on back of set?

Clearly it could be a audio problem (a model number?) but explore all here thatyou have not already done--make sure theremote set to TV and look for a button on it marked MTS and if there cycle it.

You can also determine if same trouble when you play a DVD.

This kind of tv u must have cable or satalite tvs pay broadcasting signal cable,so u have a box .Tv have HDMI ports or RCA AV component cable input?The incomming broadcating tv signal go to the cable or satalite boxes.Than u use a HDMI cable or RCA AV component cable go through those boxes than to ur tv HDMI input ports or RCA AV component cable input holes.

it could be your graphicsa card that is not sending signal.

try a laptop. plug the vga cable going from monitor to pc.

i assume you dont have the manual for this LCD monitor ?
if not go here and download, then read the symp[toms for what your LCD is experiencing

starting with screen, there is a problem with HV transformer and just an expert can fix it. The sound's problem is from your jack's cable. Replace the Jacks and there no must be the problems! Rateme if i've help you. Thanks!

I'm not really sure what causes this but I might be able to help.
I have an LG 42 plasma which had the same problem. In my case I removed the video and the tuner board (they both were mounted on the same frame which was screwed on the tv chassis) and installed them in a "wooden box" so that there would be no electrical contact with the rest of the chassis except from the cables connected to them. It now works fine.
