The temperature thermistor may need to be replaced. If under a year old should be covered under warranty.

My Whirlpool GS6SHEXNL00 has a hole in the water supply line just before the copper coupling connecting it to the wall. How do I replace this line safely?

I do not have an answer for replacing the supply line, but You could potentially have a backed up supply line for either the water or ice maker lines on your fridge from the start device. On some models of refridgerator for maytag and whirlpool, these have been recalled. If your appliance was manufactured in the last 5-10 years you may be having an issue with this component. Mine recently caught on fire at this device that is located near the compressor. If you would like to be a part of the petition for a recall on this appliance contact me at jboooor@hotmail.com

Water under machine on the floor also some grease residue on the floor after we pulled it away from the wall. 17 year old Whirlpool washer.

Most likely cracked internal hoses that spatter when the unit runs. Easy to fix. The tub and other parts rarely crack if ever. They are molded hoses and easy to get replacements. If they ask too much you can get a substitute (non-molded) at auto parts stores.

I have a whirlpool refridgerator with ice maker, freezer floods.

in the freezer section there is drain hole and you can see it if you take the back wall of the freezer (the inside wall) and you might just need to clean it all the way to the compressor drain pan.

Refridgerator is not cold enough

Most likely you have a problem with the defrost cycle, Find the timer and advance it unil it clicks. Then observe the freezer compart it should start melting the ice from the coils behind th back wall in a few seconds. if you cant see it you should be able to hear the crackling of ice if the door is open.

Whirlpool refrigerator w/ top freeezer

It has a plugged defrost drain. You may need to defrost for 24 hours with unit unplugged and doors open. UNPLUG FIRST!! f still leaks, you need to remove floor of freezer, then the back wall of freezer. Remove ice. At center rear under coils is the drain hole that is plugged up. Use hair dryer to melt ice. Pour hot water in this area to uncover drain. With hot water in area, you can put a 1/4 diam. hose or copper pipe in drain and blow into it while pressing down. It will slowly go through ice, clearing drain.
