Question about Samsung CLP 300 Laser Printer

1 Answer

My Samsung CLP-300 Laser jet is "burning" the ink when printing mostly dark colors which causes it to bubble and flake off the paper.

I'm just using a card stock plain paper, which we've used before without problems. We recently replaced the red ink cartridge with a refilled cartridge...not sure if that has anything to do with it???

What kind of paper are you using? This printer does not work well with glossy paper and will do the things that you have described. Try using ordinary 20 lb copy paper and see if this makes a difference. If you are already using copy paper, then the problem is with the fuser, getting too hot.

I've had problems with cardstock. Most of the time the toner just flakes off. This machine does cardstock really poorly. I tried to experiment with various settings, but was not successful in getting anything over 50 lb paper to work. Even the manual has the maximum weight at 43 lb. You could try using the genuine samsung toner and see if that helps. But don't really have a good solution. Sorry.

Samsung CLP-310 Colour laser doesn't print properly

This is not a driver or Windows issue, has the ink cartridges been changed recently, it sounds like the the paper is not being magnetically charged before the ink, unplug the power cord for 30 sec plug back in and try printing again

I ran out of black ink and replaced with new cartridge. prints 1/3 of page dark and rest of page light. is there something that needs to be cleaned?

If there is, then because it is a laser-printer, not an ink-jet printer, there's no "user-serviceable" parts.

So, take it to a qualified printer-technician.

Hi, I hope you can help me with a problem I have encountered with the Samsung CLP 315 laser printer. I use it and a Canon ink jet printer to over print labels for a friend who makes marmalade. She sells...

You have to change the paper settings on the properties tab before you print. This way the fuser will know to increase the heat and fuse the toner to the thicker paper.

Ink issues Samsung CLP-510

Some paper tints can cause problems with color images, so make sure that you're using plain white paper, not another color such as beige, yellow, or blue. Even an off-white shade can affect your colors.

In addition, paper type can slightly influence your ink color. Highly absorbent papers can draw in the ink so quickly that the printed image may seem dull or a little washed out. If this is the case, try a coated paper that is specifically intended for color printing. If you're printing those important family vacation photos, use a good-quality glossy paper.

If your colors are way off, you may be running out of one or more ink colors. For example, blue and yellow are mixed to make green, so if your grass seems blue rather than green, you may be running out of yellow. Check your ink cartridges and replace any that are low or exhausted.

Thank you, & post back if you still need assistance.

Samsung CPL-300 Color Laser Printer Problem W/ Labels

I work in the comercial printing game, what your describing sounds like the surface finish used on these labels is only suited to black toner. Black requires the least amount of heat to set, where as colours require more radient heat the lighter the colour gets from black. Try printing a black/monotone lable and see if you still get this blistering problem.
