Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies
It's possible (particularly if you have an older OS). It depends on the date of your backup that you put on the new drive. Check the HP site for the drivers: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=305364& ; select your OS and click Next.
You may want to uninstall any driver that is currently on the system and then unplug the data cable (if USB) before installing the driver. (Win7 and Vista use the OS driver for the printer so they shouldn't have this problem. However, the driver can become corrupted and uninstalling it and then letting the "New Hardware Found" find the driver will help.)
I hope this helps.
