The self propel on my Honda Harmony 215 is not working. I don't have a manual. Can a manual be downloaded or is there a simple solution to this problem. I am a widow and I don't work on lawn mowers :) Thank you for any help!

SOURCE: Honda Harmony mower, self propelled hydrostatic,

If i remember correctly, under each drive wheel, there is a small gear, and under each gear there is a small metal rod that is what the transmission uses to propel the mower...it sounds like the rods either have dirt on them or they are just stuck and can not move to allow you to pull it backwards

SOURCE: Honda lawn mower, self propelled mechanism not working

check the mechanism first before changing the gearbox its possible that the cable might jump out from the pulley or the cable is worn out or its possible that the gear on the tire is worn out to if not then that would be the time for you to change the gear box it would be hard to change it if you don't have the right tools to work on it if you know how everything work its not that hard to replace it just make sure were everything goes memorize the parts before disassembling cause that would be you guide to reassemble it...goodluck

The pull cord does not pull easily or not at all on my honda harmony 2 self propelled lawn mower; it is also vibrating more than usual

Could be a couple of things,if it has been left out in the weather the flywheel could have collected rust and gathered between it and the armiture making it hard to pull. But with the vibration it almost makes me think that your engine shaft is bent. Take your plug out lift the front end up and manually turn the blades,if theres an inballance you should see it.
