TOSHIBA2450 SCREEN FLICKERING

Hello try to renew the driver from here:

http://support.toshiba.ca/support/isg/center/en/index.asp?s1=Archive&s2=Satellite&s3=2450&s4=PS245C-04P40

Download the file its a exe file
You maybe have to remove the old driver before you install the new one.

If no succes the screen must be renewed.
The price for this is about 200 dollars.
A computer repair shop can be helpfull with this.

Good luck

Toshiba Portege M400-S4031 Windows XP replaced hard drive SATA used restore cd from Toshiba after loading setup screen says finished and to restart but when restarted computer error (can not find hard...

.Thats because your restore cd does not contain the Sata driver. Go to toshiba site and find the sata driver. You will need a floppy drive (a usb one would be good). Burn the driver to a floppy and load it into the drive. Now when you start to install the restore cd at some point near the beginning you will need to tap F6 (it tells you at the bottom of the screen) which tells xp to look at the floppy. It will install the driver and continue installing xp. simples??

Hello sir, i have a toshiba equium 8050m, but when i turned him on i could see anything on screen and i dont hear any post sound, can you tell me what can happened wtih my system, thank you very much

90% Most likely your Power Supply went out. It's a common issue that happens to all of us at one time or another. It's easy to replace and should cost under $100.00 for a new Power Supply. There is only 4 screws in the back holding it in so feel free to remove it, take it to a local store and get a replacement for it. Just be sure to take a couple pics of the inside if your nervous about how to install a new one.

Cheers!

Clean dust from tablet pc screen

Hello,

I have an R10 tablet.
I once asked a Toshiba certified technician if I could remove the screen cover and I was told that I am not supposed to do that.

Maybe you shoul take the unit to a Toshiba repair center in your town, or country.

Hope it helps.

Turn power on..PC screen black, nothing, will not boot up

Hello,

Your first approach would be to attempt to reset the laptop by removing external power and the battery and leaving those out for a few minutes. Then, re-install the battery and add external power. Try rebooting again. It may be okay.

Since you state the machine appears not to be booting even though the screen is blank it doesn't make sense to advise you to connect an external monitor to the blue vga out plug, but you can still try that.

When all this fails you can take your machine into a repair ship where they can remove the hard drive and analyze it on another machine and see if you haven't suffered a fatal disc error that can actually recover your disc. They would also tell you if the main board has failed and give you options.

Keep this in mind if it comes to the last paragraph, the cost of repairing your older laptop may be close to the cost of a newer laptop. It is your decision to make. Don't let anyone force you into an expensive repair when you may be able to get into another decent machine, other than Toshiba of course, made by Acer.

Hope this has fixed ya.

HITACHI HARD DRIVE LOCKED

Hello Oldnovii
This Toshiba notebook has both a BIOS and hard drive lock on it. The client has already paid $ 25 to the Toshiba depot to have the BIOS lock removed now they want $ 100 to remove the hard drive lock. The hard drive lock cannot be removed by trying to bypass it using a boot cd or disabling the hard drive boot option in the BIOS. Any help will be appreciated since my client has now had the notebook for 2 weeks and cannot use it. Thanks

Password needed

Hello nic208, The problem is you have a BIOS level password installed. Laptop owners and computer departments sometimes install them in case the laptop is lost or stolen to prevent unauthorized users from gaining access.
