Question about Garmin nuvi 885T GPS Receiver
No voice. Volume bar shows 100% - however the bar is not colored in. Navigation works fine.
I assume you checked that the mute box is not ticked. If not check it at the same place as the volume. The most likely cause is that there is no voice selected. To select a voice, press Tools, then Settings, then Language, and then Voice. If a voice is not ticked then press one to select it.
It's possible that the voice files have been corrupted and will not work. IF this is the case connect your satnav to your computer and it should automatically download the latest version of webupdater from the garmin website. When updated you will have the option to download voices. Select the ones you want and follow the prompts and they will be downloaded to your satnav. You may then have to to repeat the voice selection process described in paragraph 1 above
