Question about Biostar G41-M7 Motherboard - Socket 775, Intel G41, MicroATX, DDR2, PCIe, USB 2.0 (802700502491)

1 Answer

Failure in saving BIOs I have bought a new motherboard G41-M7, and it worked properly for two days. However, today I have encountered a problem that the BIOs keep warning me CMOS overclock. I reset everything by using the jumper (Clear CMOS Header). I can enter the BIOs, but when I try to save anything and leave, my computer will be hang and then I have to cut my power supply. Nothing in Bios can be saved. I am very confused and hope to know any solutions for it. Thanks!

Enter BIOS SETUP.
Choose Load Factory Defaults.
Save/Exit.

Or, since the motherboard is less than one week old, it has a warranty. Exercise the warranty, to get a replacement motherboard.

remove the cmos battery for sometime (min 5 mins) and try again. If it still occurs then search for the CLR_CMOS jumper on the motherboard. switch positions and check. remove the jumper and check also. it should work. most cases removing the cmos battery works

There are problems with the video files for this board if you are using windows 7. Firstly I'd try downloading the latest drivers and see if that resolves the problem

The computer doesn't detect any sound drivers.

The Motherboard you have talked about supports mostly all the operating systems. If the computer is not detecting the audio driver, most probably the drivers you have installed is not compatible with the Operating System you are using right now. As you have not told what is operating system, I'm not able to find out the proper solution for you. So, I'm giving this link, where you can download all the drivers compatible for your Operating Systems (eg. XP, Vista, Se7en, etc.). For example, if you are using Vista 32-bit, then download the corresponding driver compatible for vista (i.e. Vista x86)....otherwise the driver will never work.

Here is the link for downloading your OS compatible drivers: Download Drivers for Biostar G41-M7

Now install the driver the properly and enjoy working :)

Need 64 bit usb drivers for my motherboard - a Biostar G41-m7

Hi, intially when you install the chipset drivers from the website http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/mb/driver.php?S_ID=421 it will install the USB 2.0 drivers for you as it is already in the package. However, I now currently have the same problem as you as it seems that either a Windows Update or other software has removed this.
