yes, its possible to replace the front board with the IR sensor on your Zenith TV. Its just a matter of removing board, and replacing it with another.
Note that TV stores a lot of current, so you will have to allow the TV cool before you try opening it.
Make sure you copy out the positions of the wire you remove from the board and fix them back to their appropriate position or use a camera to snap the board before removing the wires. I hope this makes sense to you.
